Italy with Steph Olejn

Q. Firstly, tell us a little about yourself!

I’m a content creator, photographer and makeup artist currently based on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I love travelling but also a major home body and appreciate spending time with my little family (husband and pup) the most

Q. You’ve just been in Italy, what was the best part of your experience?

We really loved the island of Favignana and getting to experience such a low key Sicilian experience. Our favourite part was beach hopping by bike and spending our days in the water, which was some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen.

Q. Where was your favourite swimming destination of the trip?

Although Favignana’s waters were gorgeous, swimming at the Tonnara Di Scopello was so relaxing. It literally felt like a dream.

Q. What does your holiday wardrobe currently look like

A lot of versatile, easy wearing pieces that I can mix and match. I was in Italy for a month and my first 10 days were in Florence and Tuscany so I had to be smart about not over packing with two different climates. Although safe to say that I definitely overpacked as I always do!

Q. What are the must do’s for someone visiting Sicily?

Rent a bike and beach hop in Favignana, stay at the Tonnara Di Scopello, get an apartment on the water in Cefalu, eat pistachio pesto pasta, try all of the gelato flavours.

Q. Favourite meal of the trip and where do we find it?

Our very last night at Da Sasá Ristorante Pizzeria. Some of the best pizza we’ve ever had and an incredible view.

Q. What did you love most about heading overseas again?

This is actually the first time I’ve been to Europe and it’s been such a dream of mine. Covid really put a delay on making it happen, so we are grateful that we were finally able to visit!
