We journey North with muse Sofia Trolle, embracing the ease of a Scandinavian summer. In our exclusive Q + A, Sofia shares her approach to style, her favourite destinations, and what she's wearing now.
Firstly, tell us a little about yourself!
I’m someone who romanticises the smallest things in life and who is constantly inspired by their surroundings - making the mundane something more.
One of my favourite rituals in life is going for an early morning swim followed by a cup of coffee.
Where are the must visit places for anyone going to Europe this season?
Go to Scandinavia - Copenhagen is such a special city, with something special for everyone to enjoy!
If you have the time, rent a van and travel through Norway. The nature there is something of it's own, and there's even the freedom to roam most places.
You recently started your own label Mavis & Noah. What inspired you to start this?
I wanted a creative outlet that’s entirely my own.
Mavis & Noah is the result of years of inspiration, especially from the Danish countryside and the smaller joys in life.
Q: How would you describe your style?
Simple, laid-back yet feminine and elegant, timeless & occasionally with an edge, which I think is reflected in my designs for Mavis & Noah.
My everyday outfit typically consists of something thrifted or unique, some shoes and a bag that adds character – always finished off with jewellery!
Q. Where were you this Summer? What did a typical day look like?
The majority of my time was spent at my families house in the Danish countryside!
Here I would have sleep-ins, put on my bikini & bathrobe and go for a morning dip.
I’d then go (still in my bathrobe) get some fresh bread from the bakery before having a slow breakfast, and coffee of course.
