We recently sat down with Byron local, designer and content creator, Sarah Lamkin (more commonly known as @girlnaflower) to hear the absolute must do’s of Milos and her travel tips for a European Summer.
Q. Firstly, tell us a little about yourself!
Hi! I'm Sarah, and I'm a designer/content creator based out of the Byron area.
Q. You recently visited Milos, how would you describe your experience?
Short but sweet, filled with loved ones, sun, salt & delicious cuisine.
Q. What have been your suitcase essentials this trip?
Easy to throw on pieces that style back with bikinis, I also wore a sarong religiously!
Q. Where must we eat, stay and visit if we’re heading to Milos?
I love Pollonia, but this time around I stayed in Fyropotamos which was equally as beautiful.
We visited friends in Mandrakia, which has the most divine restaurant (there's just the one there so you won't miss it) which is definitely worth a try.
Q. Do you like to hold onto any daily rituals while you’re travelling?
I really wish my answer was yes haha, unfortunately travel can get the better of me and all routine goes out the window. Although I did start journaling as much as I could.
Q. What has been your choice of holiday reading?
Daisy Jones & The Six.
Q. Describe an ideal day in Milos.
Sunrise with friends, swimming in the ocean all day long with gyros & aperol spritz intermissions.
Q. Where to next?
I'm off to Sydney this week to visit friends & family.
Then the plan is to head to Mexico, but nothing is set in stone just yet!
