Our Creative Director, Leah Hills, recently spent a week in NY, delighting in all New York has to offer - food, wine, people and of course, Soho shopping.
Leah shares with us her must visit restaurants, how to spend a day in the city, what to pack and where to shop.
Q. What is your ideal way to spend a day in New York?
Walking, walking and walking some more – so many streets to explore, the best way to do it is definitely on foot as you will stumble across so many hidden gems you won’t see when on the subway – we walked from Brooklyn Bridge up to Central Park and loved stopping along the way at cute cafes, strolling the stores in Soho, and ending the day with a wine in Central Park before heading for dinner – we loved getting our tourist on! A few faves to note.

Q. Your favourite restaurants to visit?
Balthazar

Bar Pitti (yummy Italian!)
Kikis
Attaboy Bar in Chinatown
We loved Café Mogador for a relaxed Middle Eastern feast!
Q. What did you pack for a week in New York?
We visited in May so had the most beautiful weather - definitely pack your basics to mix and match, denim, and my oversized blazer was my go to for cooler days, into the night. A fun versatile dress or your favourite pant set, to take you from day to night, and my Leni’s saw me walking kms in comfort. I also loved pairing my Dara Top with denim and my Ellery Thongs for an easy daytime look.
Q. Where to stay?
Q. Where do we find your favourite shopping?
Definitely SOHO – think redone vintage boutiques to high end flagships, and all your favourite luxury brands, and beauty cult favourites, Soho has everything you need within streets of each other.
We can’t wait to get back to NYC and explore so much more – watch this space as we set sights on a NYC pop-up in 2024!
